First I became addicted to reading blogs. If you know nothing about me, know this.... when I need to buy a new product I read all 9,999,999 reviews spending two months doing research before I plop down my money for that new $59 popcorn maker.

It's sick, this need to explore all avenues, that I suffer from. So by the time I am 187 I should have read every blog there is at least once. I can die happy. As long as I don't need to make any major purchases before then. Doing so is likely to add more years to how long I need to remain alive.
Before you know it Pinterest enters your life. Now you've got twins, reading every blog with a pretty picture AND pinning every pretty picture you see. And if you want to make a Fall wreath, well you have to find and pin every Fall wreath you like right? By the time you are done it's January and you don't have a Fall OR Christmas wreath because you spent all your time pinning wreaths instead of making one. As we say goodbye to August I have accepted the fact I won't be making a summer wreath and I'm sort of mad about that.
Now lets talk about getting fat. Blogging. Makes.

Then there is Facebook. My 3rd little bundle of joy. I've got the lingo down .... FB :) .
And it's so flipping fun! I can plop down my muffin top, survey pinterest, pick my cake off a board and eat it too, answer emails, read FB, hop over to HomeTalk, read blogs, pretend I know what I'm doing with Google+, BlogHer, and the 10,000 other things I have signed up for. And I can do all that in the 18 hours a day that I'm not sleeping.
And I love my little triplets 'ta pieces. I never really liked doing laundry anyway, and all my friends have dust so why shouldn't I? I'm excited to go to the grocery store these days after I've made my list for the weekly Pinterst pins I plan to make. And my muffin top...... well now it matches my love handles. Or is that the same thing?
This is not my garage, but I'm surprised by how similar it is!
I'm kinda worried I'm gonna be expecting again yet this year. So far I don't tweet and the triplets haven't asked for a baby bird.
Hop over to my side bar where you can become a follower, or follow me on Pinterest, or HomeTalk, sign up to get my posts via email, be my friend on FB or just *like* my FB page (because for some strange reason I needed a page and a PAGE so I have two)
and heck I don't even know what's all on there anymore.
I just know I'm happy you're here. :)

Congratulations on your bundles of joy! Blogging, Pinterest and Etsy are my triplets. My Facebook child is sadly neglected and my Twitter baby feels like it's been orphaned. I can only handle so many needy children, so my 3 favored children get most of my attention.
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side, I feel really good knowing that I'm NEVER guilty of making anyone fat because I hate to cook! I love photos of food, but I only feel inspired to try a new recipe when all the planets line up perfectly.
Take care of those children of yours...we love them too!
It's somebody's evil plan to take over the world, I tell you! They get you all sucked in and then, when you least expect it, there will be some kind of Vulcan mind meld or something. I just wish I thought of it first.
ReplyDeleteAll so true. Yes, blogging does make you fat. I have been getting off the fat train and walking every morning. Now I have a stupid cold and am not walking for a few days. I don't tweet yet either and not sure I want to take on that one. Just not enough time for it all.
ReplyDeleteLOL! You just made my day.
ReplyDeleteHolly
No tweeting here yet either...I signed up but right now I'm "way over my head" with all the other social networks!! Someday...maybe ;)
ReplyDeleteOMG! You are hilarious!
ReplyDeletethis is too funny! and as for that last one, well i saw all your sweet food pins last night and was not happy... i wanted them!
ReplyDeletePersonally I can't cope with too much technology, but we're all so glad that you do Mrs. B, because your ever-growing fan base delights in your every word !
ReplyDeleteLooks like congratulations will soon be in order - there will be tweeting at Bliss Ranch and you'll have yourself quadruplets (and that's as good an excuse for muffin tops as any !).
That's my complaint, too, Bliss! I feel like I'm getting fatter sitting here minding all these virtual babies. It's certainly not like minding real babies...that kept me in shape! Maybe you can create a podium with a bicycle in it so we can exercise while blogging/facebooking/pinning/tweeting...yes?!!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, great reminder that I wasn't following you, yet. I am now!
ReplyDeleteBliss,
ReplyDeleteI am crying, I am laughing so hard. Maybe you could limit your food browsing to things involving vegetables?
Well you do have a really good point there about the veggies....
DeleteBliss
Cute post!
ReplyDeleteDee :)
You are so funny! I'm not a tweeter....yet. Other than that, I suffer from it all!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because it's true! These children of mine take up so much time(ha)I've barely read a blog in a month and I feel like I'm neglecting my favorite blog peeps (did I mention I have 67 comments that need replying to as we speak- yikes) Maybe we could hire an assistant? In all seriousness though, am I the only one considering JUST facebook and no blog? Not sure that would feed my need to express myself...what say you?
ReplyDelete~L
I have an "only child" right now.
ReplyDeleteBut I hope to be brave like you and have more babies.
I'm too busy painting!! Pulled in every direction.
Loved the Laughs,
Deb@LakeGirlPaints
You're a trip! :) I don't tweet either. I spend way too much time on the computer as it is. I'm trying to change that and be involved in "real life". Cancelled my Pinterest account months ago and yet I just signed up again. Haven't been back to it though. Do you think there's still help for me?

Great post Bliss! While I too have a blog, FB and a Twitter account (personal & blog) they're not nearly as cool as Pinterest. If I had to choose just one...pinning it would be. BTW I had NO clue what Home Talk was until I saw 1 of your posts on FB and now I'm on there too!! Social media can be madness and is very much like potato chips...you can't have just 1.
ReplyDeleteIt is MADNESS! Insanity! But what a trip... I just wouldn't have it any other way, my friend!
ReplyDeleteBliss, you just summed it all up. I find myself longing to give up my day job so I can just read, pin, FB, and tweet all the live long day.
ReplyDeleteMaybe in my next life. :)
Glad to BE here!!
xo Heidi
Ok I laughed so hard, and then the muffin top I almost was in tear's of giggles....Boy did you nail this one, Your just blog hoppin..that sucks you into pin's and OUCH what time is it...crap it can't be that late. O yeah who took a picture of my garage?I am the first to say, I am not tech savvy and I don't know if I want to be, my muffin top is shrinking a lil, if I do facebook full on and tweets...it will mushroom...This post is flat out funny and so on topic, but the graphics added the perfect punch...can I say I need a laugh, thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious! I also was laughing out loud at the muffin top. :) This is seriously my life too. :)
ReplyDeleteYou and your triplets look REALLY good ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss you on facebook? Well, remedied that. I think we all need bigger strollers...
ReplyDeleteHilarious post!
ReplyDeleteI think quadruplets are in your future. You'd be brilliant on twitter. All the cool kids are doing it, Bliss.
So, funny, before you know it you will give birth to a passel of kids!
ReplyDeleteCarol
Your babies are all lovely. Glad you haven't decided to get them a bird, yet. I am steering clear of tweeting, since I, too, feel like I have my hands full. Loved the humor, hate that I can relate to nearly all of it personally :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha!!! I learned this after 1 year of blogging. My garage started looking like an episode of hoarders, so I've been seriously trying to practice self-control. Between work, blogging, and this old house repairs, I never got started with FB, and rarely use Pinterest. We've been without internet for 3 days and I was starting to wonder what I did with my time before blogs came along! A lot more, let me tell you. But. I. Just. Can't. Quit. Hehehehe.
ReplyDeleteThe title of this alone made me laugh - great post! I already stalk, erm.. follow you everywhere because you KNOW I can't get enough Bliss.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you put my muffin top on the blog :) Thanks for making me laugh today! I guess I had quadruplets because I love Twitter, too!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed and wonderful day!
karianne
Oh, the triplets! I know all about them with the tight pants to show for it. Lots of sitting and lots of recipes makes for - well, you said it - triplets. I too am a new blogger this year - a whole new world. Love you Bliss!
ReplyDeleteDitto.
ReplyDeleteSo far I really only have twins, and I'm trying really, really hard to keep it that way!
ReplyDeleteFun post!
Snort, snicker, guffaw :) I jumped off the social media train and now only ride it when I have somewhere to go...um, something to say...you know what I mean. Don't let your triplets get in the way of your amazing projects!!
ReplyDeleteI could've written this very same post ... we are one in the same my friend Miss Bliss. Cut from the same cloth. Sharing the same distorted brain ...
ReplyDelete:)
me!
This is so hilarious! Triplets are a great analogy. The weird thing is, I had more time to do all this when my twins (the human kind) were little. When your triplets get older and start doing even more things, then you will be doing this for 23 hours a day.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are hilarious, especially the jeans with a muffin. I must have a metabolism that goes the speed of the autobahn, but my jeans should be topped with cookies and pizza, and every yummy crock pot meal I can find.
By the way, next time you use a picture of my garage, just give me credit, K?
-K
OK...I did it. Every one of 'em.... :)
ReplyDeleteI'd start a support group, but then it would be one more thing we had to do.
DeleteBliss
You make me laugh Ms Bliss! I am right there with you ...
ReplyDeleteHugs sweet friend ...
J2J
Bliss happy birthday to the triplets! I know, I just said the other day, between hometalk, pinterest, twitter, and facebook, when am I supposed to write my blog, and the projects? So when will I be able to finish those? I'm having to do some cutting back.
ReplyDeleteIt gets overwhelming, doesn't it? You manage to enlighten us with fabulous projects regularly so I think you are doing ok!!
ReplyDeleteIt's very overwhelming sometimes to me. You seem to be keeping up with the technology splendidly though. Keep it up and enjoy the triplets.
ReplyDeleteLol!!! Congrats on your bundles of joy ;)
ReplyDeleteJan @ door251
This post is the truth!! The muffin top picture was hilarious and I love all three of your babies : )
ReplyDeleteYou have been reading my mind ;) After my triplets the first year, I added a few more and the project filled garage solution was to start selling my refreshed items in a booth and then 4 months later, start selling in another booth...yes reFresh reStyle is in 2 locations! What the hello was I thinking?? I am busy muffin topped blog reading, writing, pinterest, FB, occasional twitter, G+ and even stumble here and there...I've totally gone off the deep end :)
